Sean K Preston and the Loaded Pistols, from Baltimore MD, will bring their brand of country and western to Lardners Point.

19th Annual Scribe Video Street Movies! Series...outdoor films, music, dance & poetry..

THURSDAY EVENING - AUGUST 25TH - 7:45 PM
AT DISSTON RECREATION CENTER - 4423 LONGSHORE AVENUE
IN HISTORIC TACONY

Co-sponsored by the Tacony Civic Association and Historical Society of Tacony, Scribe Video Center will present an evening of short local films to be screened outdoors with a focus on history and music. The opening musical performance will be presented by local artists Mike and Callie. Refreshments will be available.

Roosevelt Blvd - Public Forum

As part of a 3- year effort called "Route for Change" the City of Phila along with PennDot and SEPTA are developing a series of improvements to create a more safe and inviting corridor on Roosevelt Blvd.  As part of this process they are holding a series of Public Forums in April to hear from community members who walk, bike, drive and use transit along the Blvd.

Library Closing and Anniversary Party

LIBRARY CLOSING DATE

The official closing date of the library has been set at 3/31/16 at 6:00 pm

LIBRARY CLOSING MEETING

February 17, 2016, is the big library renovations community meeting at Tacony Library. Members of the design team, the contractors, and the library administration will be present to answer questions. It runs from 6:30-7:45.

Tacony Library will then be closed all day on Thursday, February 18, 2016 for a pre-renovations site evaluation and testing.

Veterans Support Outreach Program

There will be a Veterans support Outreach program to assist Veterans on 3/9/16 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at Our Lady of Consolation Church Hall.  Handicap access elevator on the side of the church-  please spread the word
